Young Red: The Outcast Echidna

((Update: Information update!

Alright, I decided to edit this and add more information regarding Red. This is something I use to do in the past, go all out with information regarding a character...yet 95% of my viewers did not seem interested so I stopped. However, its something I'm going to try to get back into and help once again build up my characters into stronger ones.))

An image of my character Red the echidna, when he was a child. When Red was young he was rejected but his society for his desire to want to learn about technology and build things based of that technology. Cast out Red set out to seek a place of his own, somewhere he could live and be loved by his fellow people..."Somewhere to Belong."

Red ended up being used and cast aside when no longer needed by those he came across, along with be abused and beaten. Allot of this was due to how different he was from others, and his super gentle nature...never wanting to fight back. His name "Red" was given to him due his all red fur coat, as little effort was put into giving him a name...however, it is the one he ended up taking after casting his birth name aside...feeling he only shamed his parents.

With little elsewhere to turn the young echidna often just took the beatings given to him, and did his best to improve on the work load given to him. However, whenever it became to much for him to handle he would just run away...drifting alone in the streets or empty fields, often picking up any scarps of food he came across. During harsh nights he build himself a shelter if he could out of scraps of materials he came across, such a planks of wood or scarp metal...to help him from the rain/snow or freezing cold, cuddled up in the blanket he took with him. He never returned home as he felt he was hated by his parents for his beliefs and desires...so spent many cold nights cuddled in his blanket, in tears from his loneliness.

--Red, Somewhere I Belong--

((An old image of Red expressing what it was like for him on those cold nights by himself, gazing at the moon and stars...wondering if he ever find someone that cared about him, let along a place to belong. Feeling he had no place to go or turn, he was a hated by his own kind, and others did not seem to care about him.))

He would end up having a chance encounter with a bunny named Pierre Lapin, when taking crops from a field. The starving echidna had not eaten in three days, and he could not help but take the food in front of him with little thought. He was seen and beaten by those whom owned the field...blaming him for being the thief whom been stealing crops from their field. Pierre, being the thief in question decided to step in, and save the echidna, feeling to blame for his beating, when he had been the one stealing the crops. Afterward Pierre, after saving Red, would lead him to a village of outcasts to watch over the gentle echidna...feeling he would not survive without his guidance.

Years later Red would encounter a fox knight named Mamoru Vanguard, whom change his life and give it meaning...ending up giving him "Somewhere to belong" in the serve of his friends, working to build technology advantages to aid them...making a difference and an impact to the world.

Red: "I've never encounter such a man, one so strong and true to his course...one could not help but look up and admire him, draw strength from his bravery. Yet...and be so gentle and kind, always there for his friends...giving them a reason to smile, if he himself did not have much of a reason. I would follow such a man to any end...and one I'm honored to call a friend." ~Red, in regards to Mamoru

~~Events on Nora~~

Years later Red would become the god father of Ike Miles Vanguard, Mamoru's son...and would watch over him along with Pierre after his friends is captured and turned against them. The old echidna would treat Ike very much like the son he never had...and desired for Ike to get to have the life he never got himself.

I've always seen this idea of Red's past being explained to Ike Vanguard, when mentioned how rough his childhood was...asking what Red's childhood had been like when the world had been more peaceful. To Ike's surprise he learned regardless of the peaceful times did not stop others from having a rather rough childhood themselves.

--Chat between Ike and Red, in regard of the echidna's past--

**After Red shares his story of his childhood.**

Ike: *The fox boy's ears lowered from the story Red had shared with him, surprised to find out the echidna engineer had a rough childhood himself.* "I-I...I had no idea...you had such a rough childhood yourself. Did you...did you ever find a place you belong, a place to call home?"

Red: "Aye lad...here in this hanger..." *The older echidna replied, as his gaze looked in the massive hanger around him. A light little smile crossed his face, as his gaze turned back to the young boy.* "THIS...This is where I belong, this is where I make a difference. Finally...making an impact, and fighting along side those whom care and watch out for me. THIS...this is where I belong..."

Ike: "I understand...this is where belong as well, I have nothing else left...but to fight. Fight to make sure such things don't happen!" *He said making a determined fist.*

Red: *He just chuckled from the response from his god son.* "Oh lad...Just because this is my future does not mean it is your future as well..." *He stated, looking up at a crystal blue fox girl with twin tails on the second level. He chuckled again softly.* "...As I see a much brighter one for you...When you are older, I'm sure you will understand." 

 *His gazed once turned back to Ike, giving a warm and gentle smile...as he ruffled the red hair of the fox boy.* "...This is my home...this is my future...Your future has yet to come laddie...and I shall see it be a much brighter one then my own."
